For all our fancy language and cognitive superpowers, we are creatures with animal bodies, animal bodies which experience the world through the feedback provided by our senses. Yet many of us –during these COVID-times–find ourselves deprived of one of our main ways of experiencing care and connection: touch.
Has it been too long since…
- your last therapeutic massage? (Are your shoulders, neck and/or jaw feeling particularly tight? Are you suffering from headaches?)
- you’ve experienced kind, intentional touch? (Maybe you’re isolating alone)
- you’ve felt relief for tight and knotted up places in your body?
You may be finding it harder to experience a sense of comfort and wellbeing these days. You may be isolating and working from home, practicing physical distancing. And yet being able to rest and relax are as important as ever!
Therapeutic Self-Massage Class
Join me for a 75-minute class in which I’ll guide you in how to therapeutically massage your very own dear self. We will focus on the neck and shoulders, jaw, scalp and face, arms and hands.
No massaging experience is necessary.
What effect(s) can I expect from taking this class?
- Learn techniques of therapeutic touch that will help tight places in your body relax
- Feel more comfortable and at home within yourself
- Experience a sense of grounding and calm
Registering for Class
Payment = Registration. (You will be sent an email containing your link to join the class once you register/pay. If you don’t get that email within a few minutes, check your spam folder.)
I have partner/roommate/family member: can he/she/they join me?
Absolutely. Your payment/registration is valid for anyone in your household sharing internet connection with you.
Can I buy classes for others?
Yes! Feel free to buy more than one class (select the number of classes you want to purchase) and then forward the email containing the access link to whomever you are gifting the class. (Thank you!)
Class Structure & Logistics
We’ll be using Zoom videoconferencing for this online class. In this format, you will see me, your teacher/host, and whoever else choses to be visible. You will be able to ask questions and interact with me during several portions of the class.
There will be others in the class. However, you will have the choice to be visible or hidden from others. (You will always be able to see me.)
All registered participants will be sent a link to the video recording approximately one week following the course. (This means that if you are unable to attend in person, you will still be able to view/listen to the class).
Schedule/Time
Monday, 18 January 2021, 2 – 3:15 PM Eastern Time US / 11 AM – 12:15 PM Pacific Time US (Find your local time)
Attending class live is recommended. (But if you can’t make it live, a class recording will also be sent to all registered participants within 1 week.)
Heidi will arrive in the Zoom room approximately 5 minutes early. Feel free to arrive early and get acclimated with Zoom or just say hi before class starts.

Pat –
The one major complaint I have is that I think I became so calm and relaxed I lost track of time! One second it was 630, the next it was 730 and then soon we were bidding adieu.
Definitely the best thing I got out of this was following where the body sort of tells you to go. There were so many other things that seemed so simple, yet I didn’t think of it. But Heidi is a wonderful teacher in this regard!
Anyways, thanks again, hopefully when things go back to normal I can partake in a session in person.
