Lovely post Heidi, although I'm sorry about that pest of a guest Anxiety. I'm thinking maybe we should take broom in hand and sweep him right out the front door as he's clearly overstayed his welcome. And once he's gone, you can settle in for some sweet relief. And then as Rumi said so beautifully "...hear blessings dropping their blossoms around you." I have that phrase inscribed on a bangle I always wear, and find I often use it as a touchstone.

I used to live my life on stage--not metaphorically, either.

Anxiety is part of the gig...

Some even say, if you don't have a few butterflies before a performance, you won't do well...

Others say to not banish the butterflies but teach them to fly in formation.

So, yeah, roaring anxiety is a bit different than a few butterflies but they *are* related...

So...

Maybe there's a Great Performance you're preparing for.........
